A colourful e-mail address

Well now, kiddo has got a new e-mail account for himself, thanks to his mother, and has been e-mailing all grandparents, uncles, aunts, etc. He even replied to his own e-mail when he did not get a response quickly enough (shades of what his father was told – he vehemently denies this – he himself used to do two decades ago!). Anyway, his excitement was infectious, so the little one was excited.

Little One: “I want one! I want one!”
Kiddo: “Wait until you are as old as I am now, and I will create you one.”
Little One: “I want pink! I want pink!”

  1. Hahaha, good one!🙂

Btw, you had an email address in 88?! Wow. Let me guess – on a VAX?

And can we find old postings from porcupine on soc.india?

  2. BPSK:

Yes, I had a VAX account too, but my first one was on the BITNET on a VM/CMS system (does that make sense?).

And, I lied, it was 19 years ago, not 20.

Yes, I was on SCI, and other related groups. Different reincarnation though, so you won’t find Porcupine!

  3. Right, bitnet – that was my first email account too. What a pain in the a88 that was to use.🙂

Agree. Not to worry, another generation is coming up, where a first grader reads Hardy Boys!

    BPSK:
