      Probably so; I used the first page I landed on as an example! 😉

      While it is a funny read, I would assume reality was somewhere in between our idea of how things were back then and this treatise. But the condescending tone and the racial overtures? OMG!!

    I downloaded the entire tome and can read it right off the PC (when I get time!). Why buy and kill a tree?

    You did realize, didn’t you, that the author apparently has not really visited most of the places she wrote about? I did not, not until I read the critique of her books in that article I linked to.
